AFTER BEING UPROOTED FROM THEIR FASHION INDUSTRY JOBS IN NEW YORK CITY AS A RESULT OF THE PANDEMIC, IHKWIP CO-FOUNDERS AND PARTNERS, ANTHONY NOTA & BAYLEN EDWARDS-MILLER, HEADED TO THE SUBURBS AND GOT TO WORK TO CREATE BAGS THAT SOLVE PROBLEMS AND QUICKLY BROUGHT THEIR IDEA, TURNED FULL FLEDGED BRAND, TO FRUITION IN 2020.

THEY BLENDED THEIR BACKGROUNDS IN LUXURY FASHION WITH THEIR NEW ENTREPRENEURIAL OPPORTUNITY AND FOUND UNIQUE SUCCESS PURSUING THEIR DREAM. THE BRAND “IH-KWIP” (WHOSE NAME IS DERIVED FROM THE PHONETIC SPELLING AND PRONUNCIATION OF THE WORD EQUIP) STARTED WITH ONE DESIGN, A BAG CALLED THE EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS CROSSBODY GEARED TOWARD CARRYING EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS DURING THE PANDEMIC AFTER QUARANTINING WITH THEIR FAMILY OF HEALTHCARE HEROES & FIRST RESPONDERS. IHKWIP HAS SINCE EVOLVED INTO A FULL LINE OF HANDBAGS, LUGGAGE, AND ACCESSORIES THAT BLEND FASHION AND FUNCTION CREATING BAGS WITH CITY STYLE AND SUBURBAN SENSIBILITY THAT HOLD EVERYTHING YOU NEED, RIGHT WHERE YOU NEED IT - WITH A FOCUS ON HIGH DESIGNER QUALITY AND ATTAINABLE PRICE POINTS.

WITH A FOCUS ON MARKETING & ADVERTISING, COMMUNICATIONS, AND PUBLIC RELATIONS, HE HAS WORKED FOR SOME OF THE WORLDS LEADING LUXURY FASHION BRANDS INCLUDING LOUIS VUITTON & VERSACE AND EXPERIENCED THE INS AND OUTS OF THE GLOBAL FASHION SCENE TO HELP BRING FASHION INSIGHT AND STYLE EXPERTISE TO IHKWIP.

BAYLEN ALSO HOLDS A BACHELORS DEGREE IN FASHION MERCHANDISING FROM LIM COLLEGE AND A CERTIFICATE IN GLOBAL FASHION BUSINESS FROM THE FASHION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY IN NYC. WITH A FOCUS ON DESIGN, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, AND MERCHANDISING, HE HAS WORKED FOR THE WORLDS TOP FASHION BRANDS LIKE CALVIN KLEIN AND HAS A KEEN EYE FOR STYLE, WHICH PROVIDES HIM WITH UNIQUE INSIGHT TO HELP BRING QUALITY DESIGN AND FUNCTIONAL DETAILS TO IHKWIP.
